(Newton, IA) - Racing fans interested in an up close, behind-the-scenes, look at the nitty-gritty details of big-time racing are invited to the Soy Biodiesel "Fan Fair" at Iowa Speedway Friday, September 21. The public is invited free of charge.

The Soy Biodiesel "Fan Fair" is part of fan appreciation activities associated with the running of the USAR Soy Biodiesel 225 Hooters Pro Cup Series race scheduled for 7:00pm, Saturday, September 22. The race is sponsored by Iowa Soybean Association and Renewable Energy Group, Inc.

Fan Fair will offer racing fans an opportunity to attend a news conference, tour the media center visit with USAR drivers and tour USAR, listen to USAR tech talks, visit the garage area, view a pit stop demonstration, see the Fire Safety Team in action, and watch a demonstration of driver safety apparel, including the Hans Device, and watch a Legends car demonstration.

Food and beverages will be available for the event – which begins at 5:00pm and runs through 8:00pm – on the track infield. Special guests will include members of the Hooter's staff. USAR and Iowa Speedway souvenir merchandise will also be available for sale. Parking lots will open at 4:30 and tickets for the Saturday night race will also be on sale.
