A Brief Introduction To The
United States Super Truck Series (USST)
USST Super Trucks are an asphalt oval and road course racing series
one step below NASCAR Craftsman trucks. USST travels in the central
United States as far south as Texas and as far north as Wisconsin.
The trucks produce about 500 horsepower from their 365 cubic inch
V-8 engines. Top speeds in races have exceeded 140 mph. The trucks
are pure race vehicles, there are no street truck parts on them and
they are not street legal. Trucks are often outfitted with in-car
cameras. Samples of the digitized footage are available for viewing
online with a high speed connection at www.racinxs.com.
This growing series has raced in truck races primarily on short tracks
such as Tulsa’s JRP Speedway and Altus Oklahoma’s Altus
Speedway. The USST trucks travel to larger facilities like the Milwaukee
Mile in Wisconsin, I-70 Speedway near Kansas City, Hawkeye Downs in
Cedar Rapids Iowa, and Road America in Wisconsin. USST has also races
in Texas, New Mexico, Missouri, and Kansas. USST's sister series is
the MidWest / MidAm Super Trucks who race primarily in Wisconsin and
Minnesota. These two groups meet in the central states to challenge
each other under their equal rule sets.
The USST series also engages in Super Truck Driving Schools, Corporate
Outings, and Rental Programs for the Trucks.
