Farley Speedway Set To Take Green Friday, April 18
Farley, Iowa: The 2003 racing season is set to get underway at the
Palace of Speed the Farley Speedway 1/2 mile high banked
dirt track located just off of US Highway 20 on the west edge of Farley,
Iowa. Simmons Promotions, owner operators of the Farley Speedway will
be presenting the Dodge NASCAR Weekly Racing Series featuring 6 divisions
of race cars in 2003. The Iowa Illinois Taylor Insulation Late Models
will be the featured division, support divisions will include NASCAR
Modifieds, B-Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Hobby Stocks and the Farley Flyers.
Friday night action will get underway with hot laps at 7 p.m. with
racing to follow. Simmons Promotions has changed the admission prices
for 2003 allowing all children under the age of 12 free admission
when accompanied by an adult.
In addition to the regular Friday night race programs several special
events will be held in 2003. A Bud Open Late Model Shootout featuring
the Midwests best Late drivers will be held on Friday, July
4th, The UMP Summernationals touring Late Model Series will be in
action on July 15th, and the 26th annual Yankee Dirt Track Classic
will highlight the season with four big days of racing September 10
thru 13.
