EXCITING NEWS FROM JILL GEORGE RACING!!!!
1/30/2010 - These are exciting times for Jill and
everyone involved with Jill George Racing. The 2010 season begins
next weekend at Daytona International Speedway!
On February 5th, Jill will attempt to qualify for the February
6th ARCA race at Daytona International Speedway. She will drive
the James Hylton Racing’s #48 Dodge in attempt to qualify
for the race. This car has been driven by James Hylton, NASCAR veteran,
who has volunteered to give up his seat for Jill’s first attempt
at a super speedway race.. “I would like to thank Andy Belmont
for having the faith in me and my abilities to arrange this amazing
opportunity with James Hylton and his Race team. I met Andy at the
ARCA test at Daytona in December and he seems to think that I have
the talent and abilities to do this. Further, James Hylton is an
icon in the racing world and for him to give up his ride for me
is just incredible. I do not have the words to describe my feelings
toward Andy and James. This is a dream come true for me and I hope
to go to Daytona and make all my fans and my race team proud. I
know that this is a huge challenge and that there will be people
who do not understand, nor will they think I can be successful,
but that does not matter to me……I am going to accept
this opportunity and do the very best I can do.”
The ARCA race is televised Live on SPEED on February 6th. Pre-Race
Ceremonies begin at 4 pm with the start of the Lucas Oil Slick Mist
200 at 4:30 pm Eastern. Depending on success, contacts, and interest,
this effort may lead to further ARCA racing in 2010 with Andy Belmont
Racing. Those decisions will be made after Daytona.
