HARD HITTIN CRASHES EXPLODE AT I-80 SPEEDWAY

Final Event of the Year Featuring the Area’s Highest Paying Demo Derby

Greenwood, NE (September 25, 2007) The sound of screaming engines and hard hitting crashes will explode Saturday, October 6 th during the 4 th Annual Crash-O-Rama event at I-80 Speedway; eastern Nebraska’s highest paying demo derby with a possible $9,000 to win with purse and bonuses. The event will feature a full demo derby with heat races and features, plus one heat race demos for trucks and 1980 or newer vehicles.

The full weld Demolition Derby will be a sure crowd pleaser with plenty of hard crashes, steaming radiators and crunching metal. This type of demolition derby is open to any American made sedan, station wagon, car ambulance, hearse or limousine (excluding stretch limousines). The Demo Derby will feature heats along with the feature event and possibly a consolation event depending on car count. The winner of the feature event will receive a cool $5,000 if pre-registered by July 1 st, $4000 if not pre-registered.

Race fans also will enjoy the truck demo and an 80’s or newer, no weld car demo. Each demo is a one heat race event and pays $700 to win.

Grandstand gates open at 2:00 p.m. The destruction is scheduled to begin at 3:00 pm. Grandstand admission for anyone age 13 and older will be $15.00 and kids 12 and under will be admitted FREE.

I-80 Speedway is located off I-80 at exit 420 between Omaha and Lincoln and is part of the Nebraska Raceway Park complex, which also includes the Little Sunset Speedway go-kart track and Soaring Edge Motocross Park. I-80 Speedway is home to the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series (NWAAS) on Saturday and Sunday nights; the ONLY track in the United States to hold two nights of NASCAR-sanctioned weekly racing. The Speedway hosts additional events including sprint car shows, touring late model series and demolition derbies from April through September.
