David Johnson: Ankeny, IA David Johnson born in Des Moines, Iowa on August 29, 1949. David is 6 feet tall, has blue eyes and light brown hair. As a youngster he worked in a car wash, gas station, and a sod farm. David attended the American Institute of Business and is presently the VP of Operations for Factory Motor Parts. David and his wife Pam make their home in Ankeny, IA. David is the proud father of 3 boys, Kevin, Chris, and Scott who also races. Mom and Dad have been his biggest influence in life, but if he could change anything about himself he wouldn't mind being able to relax more. David started his racing career on snowmobiles in 1970, and had his first major crash the following year. Give David a big steak, some oldie music, and then have him fly you to a golf course and he will be a happy man! You can see David race at Hawkeye Downs, #21, Sportsman, and once in while #31j Late Model. David owns the car and is helped by a loyal and hard working crew consisting of his son Scot Johnson, Chad McCarty, Craig Johnson, Nick Harbert, and Billy Mitchell.
